APPEAR started in January 2006 for the duration of 18 months. Since the project was launched, the APPEAR members were able to…
• create individual communication strategies and plans for each single assisted project, and to identify tools to reach the aimed objectives
• write film scripts about each single assisted project, which established a basis for the film shootings that took place this summer
• complete the interviews and film shootings as well as the post production of the four image films
• present the four image films to international TV-stations at MIPCOM (the world's audiovisual content market) in Cannes
• conduct a communication and media training for the assisted projects in Paris
• create a set of documents, the so-called “APPEAR Communication templates” for the scientific project partners
But also the APPEAR project itself took shape. A corporate identity representing APPEAR was created. Marketing tools, including leaflets, a website, and attendance on related events are spreading APPEAR’s new concept.
The next steps are to distribute the four image films to European TV-stations.
