April 27 - 28, 2007: "The structure and operation of the hair bundle"

The EUROHEAR Consortium is organising a meeting entitled "The Structure and Operation of the Hair Bundle" to be held at the College de France in Paris on the 27th - 28th April 2007. The meeting will consider five topics:

• The Stereociliary Cytoskeleton
• Cell-surface Molecules and Cellular Polarisation
• Mechanoelectrical Transduction and Mechanics
• Adaptation of the Transduction Process
• Active Hair-bundle Motility

May 23 - 25, 2007: Conference announcement: Age Related Hearing Impairment

An International Congress is foreseen for next year in Antwerp, Belgium on clinical, environmental, genetic and biological aspects.

The Congress will take place at the Elzenveld Congress Center, and will be held from 23rd to 25th May 2007. The event will start with a welcome reception on the evening of Wednesday 23rd May.  The scientific programme will start on Thursday morning 24th May.

The Congress is a forum for multidisciplinary interaction between basic research scientists and clinical scientists, working with genetic, molecular, clinical, audiological, epidemiological, inner ear biological and therapeutical aspects of Age Related Hearing Impairment (ARHI). 

Presentations from internationally renowned experts will highlight the cutting-edge issues for ARHI.
