27.06.2007 Appear announces final event: FROM LAB TO LIFE - Bringing the results of European research to society

Brussels, Wednesday 27th June 2007 - from 6.30 pm to 8 pm at the European Parliament – Brussels - ASP (Altiero Spinelli Building) 5E-3

An event to gather members from the European Parliament, the European Commission, journalists and experts in the research and health sector to be aware about the progress in health research and in the scientific progress of European research.

Four research films will be presented and shown together with four dedicated presentations by the coordinator of the projects. The results shown will give more opportunities to the Members of the European Parliament and RTD Stakeholders and the media to have visual elements allowing them to bring new concrete examples of what has been done thanks to European support.

The 4 projects supported, funded by the European Commission, that will be presented are:

BetaCellTherapy: Beta Cell Programming for Treatment of Diabetes

Bloodomics: Research of heart disease

Empro: European Microbicides Project

EuroHear: Bringing the Genetic Basis of Deafness to light
