21.11.2006 BetaCellTherapy: International Prize for Lucienne Chatenoud

Lucienne Chatenoud has received the International Prize Pasteur-Weizmann/Servier for her contribution to knowledge on the autoimmune mechanisms that lead to type 1 diabetes, and to the use of monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of this process with reference to the work achieved in the JDRF Center Trial.

The prize is awarded every three years in a research area that is of interest to the Pasteur, the Weizmann and the Servier Institutes.The award ceremony was held in the Grand Salon de la Sorbonne in Paris.
