"A Stem Cell Story" has won a prestigious award for best TV production / video at the Tromsö Science Media Festival, held in Tromsö, Norway (June 06 - 09, 2006) as part of a major international conference "Communicating Science and Technology".
"A Stem Cell Story" is a short film produced by Eurostemcell about stem cell research. The film provides a short introduction to the biology of stem cells suitable for lay audiences aged 14 and upward. With a running time of 15 minutes, it is ideal for classroom use, and has also been well received by patient groups and interested members of the public.
BetaCellTherapy was involved in the making of the film through a contribution of Professor Daniel Pipeleers and by providing Dutch subtitling. There are subtitles and/or voiceovers in French, German, Italian, Swedish and Dutch.
